Spicy Chicken Soup--Round 2

Every time I make this wonderful soup, I am reminded that I should make it more. Blogger friends Dustye and Chris shared this recipe with us last year. It is a simple recipe, a very good recipe, and it should be made more often.
We woke up to a dusting of snow this morning in the mountains. I believe it was 31 degrees during the night. It all disappeared by 9 a.m., but it did stay below 50 all day. So, this soup with just what the doctor ordered.
I will link you back to my previous post of this soup and recommend you try it. It is excellent, especially when the weather gets a little colder.
The link to my previous post is here.

  2. Yep-yep. I saw this the first time you posted it. It's exactly the kind of soup I would enjoy. Once the temps drop, I shall return to stirring my kettle of soups. This one looks like a winner!

  7. This reminds me of Ina Garten's Chicken Mexicqn Soup, which is delicious, too! I think this would be good for leftover Tgiving turkey, too! We're headed over to Glacier tomorrow for a few days and I'm packing my thermals!!

  8. Your soup looks delicious and I love the colors in it. I'd rather not hear the word 'snow' though. lol It is cool and very very windy here today. A good day for your soup!

  9. Yummmmm! I'm now trying to figure out how well I can alter this for my vegetarian son, using soy based chicken-strips and Knorr vegetarian bouillon cubes. I think it will translate quite well......

  11. Our weather has cooled off and I'm ready for a pot of soup. This looks so good, Susan, and what could be easier than starting with a rotisserie chicken.

    Fall is definitely here. Yay!
