Only in Europe can you find a scene like this one. This was taken in France several years ago. Tomorrow morning we are leaving for the Black Forest of Germany and for the Auvergne region of France in south central France, Massif Central. I will not be taking the computer with us, but hope to find an Internet cafe now and then to simply check on things.
I will be back in 3 weeks and will be blogging again then. I plan on taking lots of notes and lots of pictures so I hope you will be back then to share the journey with me.
Have a wonderful time and safe travels!

The trip sounds like a dream.. can't wait to read about your trip!
ReplyDeleteI am so happy that you are pursuing your dreams again. I remember my first night in Paris in 1967. It was magical. Gordon Kellenberger and I landed there ready to rent a Fiat to travel all through Europe from Norway to Italy. The first night there we were awakened to sounds of rioting from students. That was so unsusual to us at the time. Who was to know that a year later those student riots were taking place all over our county. I still remember the eerie sound of Parisian police sirens waking me up every hour or two. I hope and know that you will have a wonderful experience. rw
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to hear all about it. Have a totally terrific time. Savor the moments.
ReplyDeleteSusan, no doubt you are in the thick of it and loving it. Have a grand time and we look forward to sharing some of your adventure.

Oh, Auvergne is such an incredible place .. landscape is mysterious, with stone houses that are very austere, and many many cheeses .. oh, enjoy!
