Siesta Key 2012
There has been a lot of concern from my blogging friends about The Trout. Things are going quite well. After surgery, the surgeon changed his mind about keeping him in the hospital overnight, so I got to bring him home. He has been resting and doing quite well pain-wise. It will be a couple of weeks until the staples are removed and then we can start thinking about heading out of Florida for the summer.
Both of us thank all of you for your good thoughts, prayers. It certainly looks like the surgery was successful and we are grateful.
Great news!
ReplyDeleteSusan, I had missed your last post and just now caught up: finger's crossed and all good wishes to you and Dale! We very much look forward to seeing you in Provence this fall.
ReplyDeleteI missed the last few posts, so have only now caught up. I am glad to hear that the surgery went well - the worry you must have had.....

ReplyDeleteSusan & Dale--I have been concerned about Dale's physical condition. Thanks for your positive post about him. He is fortunate to have you as his care-taker as he returns home. I am looking forward to seeing your updates about your experiences in Montana and Provence. I am thinking that i might be able to spend some time in Amana when I am home this summer
ReplyDeletefor ail of my reunions in July. I know it is not possible but it would be great if you and Dale were in Amana at that time too. I hope I will be able to attend your special 50th year reunion since you and the rest of your class graduated.
I love Siesta Key! This year I didn't get to Venice for March, but I've already put down the deposit for next year with my grandchildren and kids..........I hope it's a wonderful time....I am truly glad to hear that your husband is doing so well after his surgery.........Thank you for posting something about this.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear this good news. Hope the Trout continues on his good road to recovery!
ReplyDeleteBest,
Bonnie
He didn't have to spend the night? I would say that's the best news you can get. Usually it's hard to escape from the hospital once they get their hands on you.
ReplyDeleteGreat news Susan and thanks so much for sharing it with us. Get well soon Trout! A cool summer is right around the corner for both of you.
Sam
That is good news. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteI thought that photo looked familiar...Siesta Key is 5 minutes from me, walking distance. Where are you now? We are here all year, but I have the summer's off from working at a school!

ReplyDeleteHi Susan, glad to hear of the good prognosis on the Trout. Now where will you be spending your summer? Hopefully somewhere cooler than Florida. I don't know how my sister in south Florida does it in the summer, oh I do; she's comes to visit me up North for a spell.
ReplyDeleteTom, we will be heading for western Montana as soon as we get the okay to drive a long distance. Florida is way too hot right now.
